As a first step, please open the page of this tool. You can access it via this link. After that, you will see several available features such as the URL column, display results, checking history, to a brief explanation of this tool.

The second step to identify the hreflang tag is to enter the URL in the field provided. Make sure you have entered the URL in the correct format (e.g https://example.com). Next, click the "Check URL" button to give the command to this tool to start checking the website.

After you press the Check URL button, this tool system will immediately display the identification results quickly. The Result field can display some information such as:
The URL list shown is a variation of the URL entered earlier. For example, you enter the URL “https://cmlabs.co” and then in the URL column below it will appear several URL variations from the website such as “https://cmlabs.co/en-id”,
"https://cmlabs.co/en-my" and so on.

On the right side of the URL list, you can see the hreflang tags used for each URL. It is this HTML tag attribute that tells search engines the relationship between the various language pages on your website. Examples of hreflang tags are "en-id", "en-my", and so on.
The language used will of course be different for each hreflang tag that is installed. That way, the target user can understand the content of the website according to the chosen language preference.

The last data you can see in the hreflang checker cmlabs is the target region of the URL being checked. You can find out if the target region of a particular URL matches the language and hreflang tags installed.
The last feature of this tool is your Local History. This tool allows you to view all hreflang check history on hreflang checker cmlabs.
With this feature, you don't need to re-type the URL that was checked if you want to re-check it. You can also delete usage history using the "Clear" button on the right side of the usage history feature.

Some cmlabs tools require a login process after 5 times use, Hreflang Checker is one of them. If you have used it 5 times, our system will automatically display a message stating that you have reached the usage limit.
